Unstruck Note

Unstruck Note was put aside when we were throwing around ideas for a band name, but the idea still intrigued us…

In Tantra, the Anahata (unstruck note) chakra is the heart chakra. For those who don’t know, the chakras are or represent the main regulators and receivers of universal spiritual energy throughout the physical and energy bodies. The most popular model for the chakra energy system describes 7 major centres, the heart chakra being the 4th, anchored in energy channels running along the spinal column.

The Anahata governs empathy, healing, compassion, connection with others and, when fully opened, becomes the channel for Universal Love where the divine soul is able to work through its centre. This is why in so many cultures the heart is said to be the “seat of the soul.”

We believe this is where great (purest) art is created from – the “seat of the soul.” Much of what we believe an artist’s job to be corresponds with the characteristics and philosophies mentioned above of the Anahata.
The goal of the Loose Change Trio is to connect with others and heal and inspire people to a greater good through story-telling, music and most importantly, through the “seat of the soul.”

**as a side note, we saw a bumper sticker on the back of a Toyota Camry that read “The groove is in the heart” which only proves, maybe in a slightly cruder sense, to further cement our belief.
